Untitled

Music tells a lot about someone. It's like a gateway into a person's soul. Anything can be said in words, but music tells so much more. It shows how that person is feeling at that exact moment in time.
I like learning about people through their favourite songs. It tells me a lot about who they really are. It shows me what they crave, what they value... It gives me a little piece of their unique soul.
My favourite alltime songs are:
Name - Goo goo dolls
and
Somewhere in between - Lifehouse.
What are yours?

Interesting. J'aime and I have been talking about this a lot lately. Whether a person is drawn to a song because of the lyrics or the melody. I would have said I was actually a 50/50 kind of person, but if I look at my favourite songs I believe it is in the melodic arrangement of them that I find the greatest movement of my heart toward them.
This is hard though because I have lived much longer and therefore listened to much more music so it's hard to pick just a couple....
I can tell you that my absolute favourite song of all time is
If you leave me now by Chicago
then probably
In the air tonight by Phil Collins
Biko by Peter Gabriel
Blinded by the Light by Manfred Mann
In the Ghetto by Elvis Presley
Leaving ninety-nine and Pierced by Audio Adrenaline
Is it a crime by Sade
Let it rain by the newsboys
When I'm up by Great Big Sea
Little wing (written by Jimi Hendrix but I love the version by Sting)
O.k. that's it for now. That was a good stroll down melody lane.

Here comes the sun - the beatles
I'm not sure what comes in second, but that song, no matter how bad my mood, always makes me smile, and realize that eventually, whether it be soon or not, the sun will come out :)
